This painting is based on an arresting image I came upon one day that I believe is Esther Williams swimming with her children. I could not verify the actual identity of the the people in the image but I couldn’t stop staring at the strength of the woman swimming confidently ever deeper into the water as her children sat joyously on her back. One can only hope to be such a confident parent, but I thought it was a great reminder that we all have personal gifts that when allowed to flourish can be amazing gifts to share with our children.
