The end of the school year is a very busy time I realize and I have lagged on my posts. So I thought I would post two images. 

I spend a lot of time scanning all of my work into my computer. There is always an overflowing pile of sketches and filled sketchbooks to go through. Since my studio time will change once the girls are out of school it seemed like a fitting time to go through the pile. I’ve made a commitment this past year to put my dry media away and commit to making all my quick sketches with wet media and a brush. I’m learning a lot and I’m starting to see some real changes in my work. 

This has been an incredibly valuable practice that I plan on continuing. Changing your media forces you to change your approach to how you would normally solve the rendering of a figure.
